Screening Hogan Productions Films at Love Acting/Eye Wander
Jency and Aaron Hogan introduce the screening of their films “Vice”, “Maybe Baby”, and “Days of Daisy” at Eye Wander Studio on October 3rd, 2025
Sometimes you need a reminder that you are a filmmaker. And the best way to do that is to have a screening of your films and get reinvigorated. Filmmaking is definitely not for the faint of heart. It requires so much dedication and money. So to see your work finalized on the big screen and in front of an audience is always fortifying. On Friday, October 3rd, we decided to have a small, intimate friends/family screening inside the Eye Wander studio. Many of our cherished friends came out to see the two short films we made in 2024, Vice and a sneak peek of Maybe Baby. And we showed Days of Daisy, our film that was released online in 2023.
It was great seeing Days of Daisy again with an audience. Having had so much time and distance away from the film I realized I loved it— I love its quirky weird twists and support of the arts. I loved watching all of my friends act in the film and noticed that Days of Daisy such a catalyst for life changes and special friendships, and it will always hold a special place in my heart. It represents us doing what seemed impossible at the time: raising money for a passion project that did not have any bankable stars and was a risk for the investors, but we were encouraged by the investors who took a chance on us. Watching the film brings all of those old emotions up. It reminds me of why I got into this filmmaking journey to begin with. I also love seeing so many of my students from Love Acting in the film. They’ve all grown up and changed so much since we made the movie, and it was great to reminisce.
As far as the two short films, Vice and Maybe Baby, I was so proud of all my students from Love Acting who were in the films. Watching them develop their talents has been such a delight. We got great feedback from Maybe Baby- it was a test screening just to feel out the audience and see how they felt about it. I could feel the tension in the room at the right places in the movie, and I felt it was a success. I hope to get it into festivals as soon as we can finish the sound and start submissions.
A lot of people were asking me what I’m making next, and I just want to focus on my life’s work which is my dream to make a series about Louisiana. Stay tuned for upcoming screenings of project.
You can watch Days of Daisy here.
