Santorini Film Festival 2025
Santorini Film Festival 2025 flyer
For all you filmmakers out there who are interested in going to Greece you should definitely submit your film to the Santornini Film Festival. Along the shore of Kamari beach, there is an outdoor theater that hosts the SFF film fest each year, and what makes the festival so unique is that the theater has a large projector screen surrounded by lush, beachy Eucalyptus trees that blow in the wind and tropical plants that surround you while watching artistic films— not to mention the amazing surround sound. During the intermission they played old Hollywood swing music that just added such nice surroundings to the experience.
I just got back from Greece, where I stayed for a month on the amazing island of Santorini. One of the highlights of going in July was the idea of going to Santorini Film Festival. Unfortunately I got sick the weekend of the festival, but my husband Aaron got the opportunity to go see all the films in the beautiful outdoor theater setting. One of the great things about going to an international film festival is that you get to see films from all of the world. He saw some really interesting ones. I also loved that the focus of the festival this year was solidarity, empathy, and compassion.
If you’ve never been to a film festival it’s really great to try it out. If you’re in the film industry and you’ve never been to a film festival, you need to experience one. Why not try one in Greece next summer? I never even knew this film festival existed, and I definitely want a reason to return to Greece, so I think I’ll submit my next film to Santorini Film Festival. Check out some of these winners below:
