Our actors had so much fun on the red carpet of Love Acting’s 2026 Reelcase premiere at the Manship Theatre in Baton Rouge and got to see themselves on the big screen— some of them for the first time.
We had great success this last week at Love Acting’s amazing screenings of our students’ short 3-5 minute scenes for audiences in Baton Rouge and New Orleans. We were privileged to be able to rent two theaters, the Manship Theatre in downtown Baton Rouge and The Broad Theater in New Orleans.
There’s something very exciting about seeing yourself on the big screen as an actor. And we felt like our students deserved the opportunity to have a true Hollywood experience right here in Baton Rouge. For Reelcase we had local writers write scenes for our students individually and then we shot them on location. And we had a professional editor edit them and then we screened them on the big screen. The idea was to present our young talent to the film industry professionals of Louisiana so that when film projects were being filmed in our area, our students would have the opportunity to act in them.
When I started the film acting school in 2016 I first started it because I wanted to give back what I had learned on set and from my teachers, but then as momentum started to grow, I realized there was such a great need for actors to study film acting in Baton Rouge, that I wanted to grow the school and create an environonment where you could not only learn acting, but filmmaking. My goal is to eventually have classes where you can take screenwriting, filmmaking, and acting classes, and eventually our students would be able to create their own content.
Reelcase 2026 was a great success and we can’t wait for next year’s.
